Yes this flannel looks like soft wool, just like the name! Moda has done it again, this line of flannels is just soft and gorgeous. This time we chose blues, taupes and blacks to make a manly looking quilt. These fabrics are plaids, that means they may not be parallel to your cutting, but that is part of the attraction to these fabrics. This line of flannel also had a panel that generally we find hard to work with as most panels are not printed with the quilter in mind. We decided to work with the panels and used even all of the pieces in the repeat. The Nine Parch is the alternate block which has always been one of my favourites!. This quilt would be great for anyone on your gift list!.

Number of Blocks: 40 Size of Quilt: 32" x 56" (without borders)
53" x 73" (with borders)
Requirment: Assortment of 12 Fat Quarters
This line of flannel batiks has got different traits than the traditional quilters' flannel. The fabric unwashed has more stability and has a more velvety touch. Also the dimensions of the width of fabric are around 40" with salvages. Keep this in mind when squaring up, be frugal and of course do not wash before you get started. Also some of the cutting instructions are odd because we are cutting the large squares into pairs, as the assembly of the block requires this.
